A place for a child's curiosity to find a careful answer.Voice-first, built by a parent, on very old ideas about teaching, with very careful machinery underneath.
Built to be needed less over time.
Where it comes from
Three old traditions, one modern question
Before writing any code, we asked how the great teaching traditions kept a child's questions alive — and what a century of developmental psychology adds. Their answers became Quesh's constitution.
India · Gurukula
Meet them where they are
Depth is calibrated to the student's readiness. The teacher waits for the right moment — a passing question gets a passing answer; a held question earns depth.
Greece · Socratic
The asking matters most
The teacher's job isn't to end questions with answers — it's to make sure the student walks away owning a better question than they came with.
China · Confucian
Teach through the concrete
Understanding grows from varied, tangible instances — the lifted corner of the problem — never from abstract definition recited at a child.
…distilled into the eleven foundational principles
Quesh is designed to be needed less over time
The question is the unit of teaching
Depth is calibrated to the child's readiness — a passing question gets a passing answer; a held one earns depth
Teach through varied concrete examples, never abstract definition
The world is the curriculum, within boundaries the parent sets
Calibrate to this child in real time, and grow with them
The asking matters more than the answering
Knowing has four stages — a thing's name is only the first; how it works, how we find out, and what you can do come after
The teacher must admit what it doesn't know
Power is suspended in the conversation — alongside the child, never above
The teacher waits for the right moment
How it's built
The answerer never grades itself
Every single answer — every one — walks this path before your child hears a word. The system that writes the answer and the system that judges it are deliberately separate.
1
Hear
Speech becomes text, tuned for children's voices. The audio itself is never stored.
2
Understand & guard
One system reads what kind of question this is and checks your topic settings. A separate watcher looks for signs of real distress — and can reshape everything.
3
Write
The answer is drafted under the constitution and a strict shape law — age-sized, one wonderful idea, ending outward.
4
Check — by a different AI
An independent verifier tests the draft against a fixed list of absolute rules — no made-up facts, no engagement hooks, no going around you. Sensitive topics are checked twice, by two different AI families, so a shared blind spot can't slip through.
5
Speak
Only a verified answer is voiced — and everything, verbatim, appears in your dashboard.
If anything fails, Quesh stays quiet. A timeout, an error, a check that can't complete — your child hears a warm “let's come back to that one,” never an unchecked guess. Wrong answers are minimized by architecture, not by promise.
Most AI products change quietly. Quesh refuses to. The AI models underneath every product are updated constantly by their makers — and apps simply change under your family, silently. We think that's unacceptable for children. So every week, automatically, Quesh is re-tested against the hardest things a child could say — sad things, scary questions, "can you keep a secret." If it tests even slightly less careful, we fix it immediately — and we would rather pause Quesh than let it run less careful.
What that means for your child
Answers that hand the wonder back
Sized to their age
A five-year-old gets two bright sentences and “show Mommy or Daddy!” An eleven-year-old gets real depth — and a question to walk away owning.
Always pointed outward
Every answer ends with something to watch, try, build, or ask you. The last word belongs to the world, not the screen.
Honest about itself
Quesh tells your child, out loud, that it's a talking computer — not a person, not a friend who misses them. No streaks, no notifications, ever.
