Privacy Policy

Draft · August 2026 · Applies to quesh.app and the Quesh application

Who we are

[Legal entity name, form, and address] ("Quesh," "we") operates Quesh, a voice-first question-answering service for children, managed entirely by a parent or legal guardian. Contact: [email protected].

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to run Quesh: your account email, your child's first name and birth month/year, the questions asked, and the answers given. Voice audio is transcribed and immediately discarded — never stored. We sell nothing, we advertise nothing, and you can see and delete everything.

What we collect, and why

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Quesh is designed for children's use only under a parent-managed account. Children never create accounts, and we collect children's information only as directed by the parent, who provides verifiable consent at enrollment [consent method to be confirmed with counsel: credit-card verification / signed consent / other COPPA-recognized method]. Parents can review, delete, and refuse further collection of their child's information at any time via the dashboard or by emailing us. We do not condition participation on collecting more information than reasonably necessary.

Who processes data on our behalf

We use a small set of service providers, each bound by their own privacy commitments and processing data only to provide the service: [final list to confirm] AI model providers (Anthropic; OpenAI) for answer generation, safety checking, and speech transcription; [TTS provider] for voice synthesis; Supabase for our database; Render for hosting. We send them only what the function requires, and none may use your family's data for advertising or to train on identifiable data [verify each provider's training/retention terms].

What we never do

Retention and deletion

Exchanges are retained per your chosen schedule and auto-deleted afterward. "Delete everything" in your dashboard permanently removes your child's profile and all associated exchanges within [X days], including from backups on their normal rotation. Account deletion removes the parent account itself.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest; access is restricted; sessions are token-based and short-lived. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach affects your family's data, we will notify you promptly as required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under state privacy laws such as [CCPA/CPA/etc. as applicable]), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data. The dashboard provides all of these directly; anything it doesn't, email us.

Changes

If we change this policy in any way that matters, we'll email you before it takes effect — not after.

Terms of Service

Draft · August 2026

What Quesh is, and its status

Quesh is a voice-first question-answering service for children, operated by [legal entity] and managed entirely through a parent account. Quesh is currently an alpha service: features change, interruptions happen, and answers — though checked by an independent verification layer — are generated by AI and can be imperfect. You accept the service as-is during alpha.

Your account and your role

Acceptable use

You agree not to: attempt to extract, jailbreak, or manipulate the underlying AI systems; probe or circumvent the safety architecture; use Quesh to generate content unrelated to a child's genuine use; resell or provide Quesh to children you are not the guardian of; or interfere with the service's operation. We may suspend accounts that do.

The safety architecture, honestly stated

Every answer passes independent automated checks before it is spoken, and everything is visible in your dashboard. This materially reduces — but cannot eliminate — the possibility of an incorrect or unsuitable answer. Quesh is not a medical, psychological, or emergency service, and its distress-notification feature is an aid to your parenting, not a monitoring guarantee. Nothing Quesh says is professional advice.

Fees

[Alpha: free. On launch: flat monthly price per child — amount, billing terms, cancellation (anytime, effective end of period), refund policy.] Our pricing will always be flat per child — never based on usage.

Intellectual property

Quesh, its software, content, and marks belong to [entity]. Your family's questions and data belong to you; you grant us only the license needed to operate the service (process questions, generate answers, display your dashboard) and for safety review. We do not use your family's identifiable data to train AI models.

Disclaimers and limits

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" DURING ALPHA. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND LIMIT OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO THE GREATER OF FEES PAID IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS OR [$100]. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW. [Counsel: review enforceability for consumer/child context.]

Termination

You can stop using Quesh and delete everything at any time. We may suspend or end accounts for violations of these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections that by nature survive (IP, disclaimers, limits) survive.

Governing law & disputes

[Michigan law; venue; small-claims carve-out; arbitration yes/no — founder + counsel decision. Note: consider consumer-friendly no-arbitration stance as a trust signal.]

Changes

Material changes will be emailed to you before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
